Molecular Formula: NaSbO₃
CAS#: 15432-85-6
Molecular Weight: 192.73
Product Description:
NaSbO₃, also known as sodium antimonate. It is a white powder available as granular crystals or cubic crystals. It is heat-resistant and does not decompose even at 1000°C. It is soluble in tartaric acid and sodium sulfide solution, and concentrated sulfuric acid; slightly soluble in alcohol and ammonium salt; insoluble in acetic acid, dilute alkalis, and dilute inorganic acids. It is insoluble in cold water but hydrolyzes to form a colloid in hot water.
Product Category: Inorganic Salt
Uses:
Ultra-fine 2-5 micron Sodium Antimonate serves as an excellent wear-resistant additive and flame retardant, with a good effect on enhancing conductivity. It is primarily used in the manufacturing of plastic components for automobiles, high-speed railways, and aviation, as well as in optical fiber materials, rubber products, paint products, and textile production.
It is produced by mixing crushed antimony lumps with sodium nitrate, heating, and reacting with air, followed by leaching with nitric acid. Alternatively, it can be produced by mixing crude antimony trioxide with hydrochloric acid, followed by chlorination with chlorine gas, hydrolysis, and neutralization with an excess of alkali.
Packaging:
Inner plastic outer woven bag 20KG/bag, Kraft paper bag 20KG/bag, Flexible intermediate bulk container (FIBC) 500KG/bag, FIBC 800KG/bag.
